Security
Trade security guidance for VitrineAlu aluminium windows and doors, including PAS 24 tested-security routes, glazing and project-specific checks.
Aluminium and glass that put the view on display: the frame holds the line, the security stays out of sight and the view does the talking.

VitrineAlu supports product test documentation (PAS 24 routes, DoP) for the supplied product route. Installation method and sign-off remain with the installer.
Send drawings, sizes and intended application so we can advise whether a standard product route or enhanced specification is appropriate.
Security on an aluminium door or window is the whole specification working together, not a single feature. On VitrineAlu product routes that means multi-point locking, anti-snap and anti-bump cylinders, reinforced keeps and concealed or security hinges, set against the glazing make-up. Laminated and toughened glass options change how a unit resists attack, so the glass is specified with the frame, not after it.
For new dwellings in England, Approved Document Q sets the security baseline, and PAS 24 is the test standard used to show a product route meets it. Exposure differs by opening, ground floor against upper floor and overlooked against secluded, so VitrineAlu confirms the right security route against the drawings and the building use before a quote is issued.
Our windows and doors are built to PAS 24 enhanced security routes and tested to BS EN 14351-1, with UKCA marking and a Declaration of Performance supplied on request. State the security requirement on your order so the right hardware and glazing build goes on. See our security page for the routes we run.
Ask for a cylinder and multipoint lock that meet the PAS 24 route for the door type, with anti-snap, anti-bump and anti-pick protection. State it on your order and we confirm the matching hardware build. Get the spec recorded against your job at quote stage.
Glazing is internally beaded or mechanically retained so units cannot be removed from outside, which is part of the PAS 24 test route. The retention method is set by the product build and confirmed against your order. Read the detail on our security page before you place the job.
State the PAS 24 route needed, the door or window type, any glazing security requirement, and that you want the Declaration of Performance and UKCA marking supplied. We confirm the hardware and glazing build to match. Start the spec at quote so it is recorded against your job.
Keep the Declaration of Performance, the UKCA marking detail, and the order confirmation showing the PAS 24 route specified. These cover the tested build for the products supplied. Request them with your job and we issue them. Begin at quote so the right evidence is logged from the start.

Proof, not promises
Paul Fradley, Founder and Technical Lead, has worked almost every role in windows and doors across more than twenty years: surveyed, fabricated on the floor, fitted on site, then ran the technical and operations side. He leads the spec on every project, so what we quote is what we fabricate.
