About VitrineAlu

We put the view on display

Vitrine, a glass display case. Alu, aluminium. A display case shows you what sits inside it. We turn that around and put the view on display, out, in, or both, framed in slim aluminium and glass. That is what bringing light into living means.

The name

Vitrine: French for display case. Alu: aluminium.

A vitrine is the glass case that shows off what's inside it. We build the opposite: aluminium and glass that show off what's outside it, the garden from the kitchen, the light reaching the back of a room, an opening doing the work a solid wall used to do.

That's the one idea behind the whole range: slim sightlines and big glass, in aluminium that holds its shape and performance for decades. Heritage and steel-look profiles keep more frame where the character calls for it; sliders and curtain walling take most of it away. Same principle either way, less frame the customer notices, more of the view they came for.

What drives us

Our vision

To be the aluminium fabricator the North West's trade trusts to turn any opening into a view worth framing, the name behind the region's brightest homes and buildings.

Our mission

To fabricate and supply precise, certified aluminium windows, doors and glazing to the trade across the North West, drawing-led, so installers, builders and specifiers deliver buildings full of light, on time and on drawing.

What we stand for

Five things we do not bend on

Light first

Every choice serves the view and the light it lets in.

Made to the drawing

What we quote is what we fabricate. No surprises on site.

Trade, never over the trade

We supply, you fit. We never compete with the people we serve.

Proof, not promises

Tested routes, real figures and honest lead times.

Built to last, made to recycle

Aluminium that performs for decades and is endlessly recyclable.

The maker

Paul Fradley, Founder and Technical Lead

Paul has spent his whole working life in windows and doors, and has worked almost every role across the process: surveying, fabricating on the shop floor, fitting on site, then team leader, supervisor, technical, quality, operations and management, before founding VitrineAlu in 2020.

More than twenty years in, that route means he knows a window from every angle: how it is surveyed, made and fitted, how it fails, and how it should be specified. Having done the on-site work himself, he built VitrineAlu to be the trade fabricator he would have wanted to buy from. He leads the technical side of every project, and writes and reviews the guidance on this site.

How we brief

Send sizes, drawings or the outcome you need. Paul and the team confirm the right product route, the achievable figures and the spec, then fabricate to it.

Made to last

Aluminium is built for the long run

Aluminium is one of the most recyclable materials in construction. It can be recovered again and again without losing its properties, so a frame fabricated today is not landfill at the end of its life, it is the next frame. Built well, it performs for decades, and light-framing glazing cuts the energy a building needs, with low whole-unit U-values where specified.

For the figures behind that, see the guides to aluminium U-values and how a thermal break works.
